Bamboo Beach, also known as Mai Phai, is a long and tranquil sandy beach located in Bamboo Bay on the southwestern coast of Koh Lanta. This stunning beach is part of a national park, offering visitors a peaceful retreat amidst the beauty of nature.

The coastline is surrounded by high hills and dense tropical forests, adorned with fine white sand. At the southern end of the beach, a cluster of rocks creates a striking contrast. The water entry is relatively smooth, and the seabed consists of a mix of sand and gravel. 

Although the water is generally calm, visitors should be mindful of occasional high waves. On the northern side of the beach, there are two hotels along with several restaurants and bars. Facilities such as umbrellas and sunbeds are available. Despite its beauty, this beach remains a hidden gem due to its challenging accessibility. 

It is a haven for those who are passionate about the jungle lifestyle, breathtaking landscapes, and solitude. Generally, it is not recommended to bring children, as the beach usually sees few visitors, mostly those staying at nearby hotels or adventurous travelers.

The best time to visit Koh Lanta for a beach vacation is during the dry season, which typically runs from November to April. During this period, the weather is clear, the sea is calm, and the vibrant atmosphere is perfect for beachgoers seeking relaxation.
